MediDrink Kids
Though most children are able to take all the necessary nutrients via normal eating, there are circumstances when this is simply not enough. During acute conditions, such as acute respiratory infections, fever, acute gastrointestinal infections, and surgery, the metabolic needs of the body increases (e.g. each 1°C increase in body temperature leads to an about 10% increase in daily energy requirements) while the child’s appetite decreases and thus a negative nutritional balance may occur. In such cases, oral nutritional supplementation ensures that the nutritional needs are met and the recovery is faster. Certain chronic diseases, such as inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), and cystic fibrosis, lead to altered metabolism and altered nutritional needs on their own. These altered nutritional needs can be met by oral clinical nutrition and thus the condition of patients can be ameliorated.
MediDrink Kids is being designed to meet nutritional needs in children and help their recovery.
Clinical research of the past decade has shown that specific conditions require specific medical nutrition. According to these scientific findings and based on an approach focusing on patients and conditions we are currently working to identify the specific nutritional needs of many different illnesses in order to develop products which address these needs.

MediDrink Neo is a nutritionally complete, high energy (2.2 kcal/ml), high protein (20 energy %), and low carbohydrate (20 energy %), ready-to-drink liquid sip feed, enriched with immunonutrients (L-arginin, omega-3 fatty acids) to support the immune functions of cancer patients.
Flavours: chocolate, forest fruit, vanilla
Energy distribution:
- Protein: 20%
- Carbohydrates: 20%
- Fat: 58%
- Fiber: 2%
Suitable as a sole source of nourishment. Recommended daily allowance is 3–4 packs per day for adults as a sole source of nutrition or 1–2 packs per day as supplementation. Not suitable for children under 3 years of age.
Shake well before use. Best served chilled. Drink slowly in small volumes.
Storage: Should be stored between 2 and 28 °C. Once opened, store in refrigerator and discard unused content after 24hours.
For enteral use only. Must be used under medical supervision. Not suitable for children under 3 years and patients with galactosemia or hereditary fructose intolerance (fructosemia). Use with caution in children aged 3-6 years.
